ABOUT
Tarin grew up in Seattle, speaking Swedish, hiking, skiing and hanging out in coffee shops. She earned her MFA in cinematography at the American Film Institute (AFI) after completing undergrad film studies at both Vassar and Hampshire College.
Tarin recently completed production on “NCIS: Tony & Ziva”, which filmed in Budapest. She has also lensed shows like The Summer I Turned Pretty, Hulu’s “The Other Black Girl”, the sci-fi adventure series “Paper Girls” for Amazon, the Gotham Award winning “Blindspotting” for Starz, as well as “On My Block” for Netflix.
Tarin has shot a wide variety of projects in both the US and internationally, including Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Hungary and the UK. Her feature film work includes films like “Corporate Animals” which premiered at Sundance as well as “We Summon the Darkness” which premiered at Fantastic Fest.
Tarin’s commercial work includes Covergirl, Target, Honda, Dodge, Starbucks, Disney, and many others. Her numerous music videos include St. Vincent, Maggie Rogers, Death Cab for Cutie, The Decemberists, Chris Cornell, Lenka, Joss Stone and Young the Giant.
Tarin currently resides in Los Angeles where she still loves hiking and skiing (and now snowboarding) and just picked up everyone's new favorite sport: pickleball.
